Ikea Brakig Collection

This Friday I drove to Amersfoort to see the limited Brakig collection at Ikea. I got pretty excited when I saw the pretty colours and graphics! It instantly got me in a happy mood! How was I supposed to choose between all of these lovely designs?! Lately I've been leaning towards pastels so this made my decision a little bit easier... I wanted to change our side table for a while now and I'm so happy with this light & fresh new one! Off course I had to have some of the ceramics with a graphic print. I could go on and on about this awesome collection but maybe these images speak for themselves...

DIY Mini Pinboard

This afternoon I made this little pin board with an embroidery hoop and a piece of Tas-ka fabric which was a leftover from a pillow case I made earlier. As you can see it's the easiest thing to do & the pictures speak for themselves! I hope you had a good weekend! Mine was busy but great! We had another Costes opening in my hometown and it was a good day...

A Happy Home

Weekend has started! I hope you're enjoying yours! Some Happy Home shots for today... I've been busy renovating our kitchen, I started by painting the kitchen cabinets and made new handles out of leather. We removed the cabinets on the wall and replaced them with shelfs. I also painted the tiles instead of replacing them with new ones. It really is an improvement but I still have some changes to make... As you can see I love bright colours in my home. It gives me a happy and summery feeling! Thinking about changing my living room though, does it ever stop?? I'm afraid not!

Good Advice

It's nice to have some good advice hanging on your wall... "Get off the internet" doesn't always work though ;) I'm sure a lot of you recognize these quotes from the book "Don't eat the yellow snow" by Marcus Kraft. I papered my little wall at my desk with it so I always have something fun to read!

A Little Stool Make Over

I had this old little stool for a while but I never really knew what to do with it! Last week I bought a piece of fabric at Ikea and I instantly knew what to do with the stool! I love the pattern on this Ikea fabric and luckily I had some fabric left to make a pillow case out of it as well. It really brightens up my bedroom! I hope you're having a great weekend... Mini DIY

A while ago I bought this pink vest at the thrift shop. It's not really my style but I love the colour & texture so I made a little pillow case out of it! The poster was a gift in the latest Flow issue (love this magazine!!). The chair I got from a sweet friend... Thanks Ineke! I hope you are having a good & relaxing weekend? I had a girls night out which I'm still recovering from ;) This week I will start with a detox treatment which I tell you more about later. Nothing serious though, just trying to be healthy (aren't we all)!

A Happy Home

When we first moved into this home I was in a little bit of a hurry getting everything finished. I picked out some nice wallpaper & was pretty happy with the improvement of some of the rooms (from all kinds of strange colours to a lot of white!). But you know the drill... Once you start blogging & pinning you'll probably want to change it al over again! The same goes for me and a few weeks ago I decided it was time to give our guest room a little make over! I removed the wallpaper, added even more white and made some new pillow covers with the blankets my mom collected for me. I love the combination of the white & the bright colours... I think this room is ready for a sleep-over!

My new Bedroom Wall

This weekend I finished my new & improved bedroom wall! I collected some of my favorite black & white pictures via Pinterest and made my own photo collage with it! I also used a couple of MDF panels and painted them in black before I glued the prints on them. This way you'll get a subtle 3D effect! I'm so happy with the result, now I can stare at these beautiful images every night before I fall asleep... Have a good week!!

Brighten Up Your Life!

Spring

Today I bought my first bunch of flowers: Gypsophila ( in Holland we call it "Gipskruid").

I love them because they look so nice & fragile... They give that ultimate spring feeling don't they? Yes, spring is coming!! I'm in desperate need for some sunshine! I made some pictures and did a little photoshopping, I hope you'll get the same spring feeling with these images. Have a great weekend my sweet followers!
