Gevonden op Marktplaats Wintersalon

Last Friday I payed a visit to the pop up store "Gevonden op Marktplaats Wintersalon" in Amsterdam. The first edition of this original concept took place in June 2014 which I wrote about here. Immediately I was a fan of this idea and again founder Julien Rademaker made beautiful and inspiring compositions. Julien has been a collector for years and decided to share his favourite finds on his blog. As you can see, he has a great eye for design and styling. 

For the next couple of months (untill the end of January) everything at the shop / exhibition is for sale, I especially loved the collection of graphic art! I must say this temporary shop is definitely worth a visit! You can find the Wintersalon on the KNSM-Laan 301 in Amsterdam.

Social Influencers Tour at the Swan Market Rotterdam

This Sunday I visited the Swan Market in Rotterdam together with a group of very nice bloggers (Anneke, Lotte, Mariandel & Minou)! Robine from Act Productions invited me to join this tour organized by her lovely self! Later on we payed a visit to the new conceptstore KEET Rotterdam which I'll tell you more about later! The weather was great (or better said: pretty hot!) so we started with a drink. Very soon, Robine started spoiling us with amazing goodiebags and lots of gifts, she really outdone herself! She also carefully selected a present for each of us from her own shop Stockhome, so sweet!

We took a walk around the lovely market filled with great handmade products, delicious food & tasty drinks... Time flied! I took some pictures of a couple of my favorite stands like Koffiekever, Beton And More, Sprinkles Bakery & Meesie. Later on this week I'll tell you more about our visit to Keet Rotterdam so stay tuned!

Hotspot: Vaen Utrecht

A while ago I visited a couple of nice places in Utrecht which I wrote about here, here & here. On that same afternoon I made a stop at this cute little store VAEN where you can buy vintage furniture, lighting and accessories from the 20th century. 10 Years ago Jeannette and Esrha started their webshop, years later they found this lovely place in the centre of Utrecht to start their "live" shop! When you're in the neighborhood you should pop by!

Hotspots: Broei Utrecht

If you've read a couple of my latest Hotspots posts, you'l probably understand why I'm such a fan of the Oosterkade & Westerkade in Utrecht. Across Koffie Leute, which I wrote about here, you'll find Broei, a creative place where you can enjoy coffee, food, books & art! Every Sunday you can join gamenight with your friends where you can even bring your own favourite game!

Another thing which I think is really cool is their "Wall of Frame". An exhibition wall where you can find and buy the work of several talented artists like illustrators, photographers & graphic designers. How nice to pick out your favourite artwork while you're enjoying a cup of good coffee or a nice lunch! You can find a lot more creative & original events on the agenda of Broei like workshops, concerts and "La Table Longue" where all the tables are pushed together and you can enjoy dinner with the other guests.

Hotspot Goede Vrijdag Utrecht

A couple of weeks ago I showed you the hotspots "Koffie Leute", "De Kledingbibliotheek" & "Urlaub" in Utrecht. Today I'd like to show you another hotspot in this interesting new neighborhood. Goede Vrijdag is based at this little bridge keeper's house which is completely transformed into a spectacular coffee bar. The guys at Koffie Leute advised me to pay a visit to this special place and I'm glad they did! Not only is this a 

remarkable location tot start a coffee bar, the interior is definitely original. 

The guys who started this coffee bar are graduates from art school and made almost everything themselves. I love the unpredictable mix of artifacts, greens, kitschy porcelain and art projects. Every two weeks there's a live performance at their cosy basement as well! When you're in Utrecht, go and check it out!

Hotspots De Kledingbibliotheek & Urlaub

This Monday I showed you the cool coffeebar "Koffie Leute" at "Druk", today I want to add these 2 interesting places to the Hotspot list! "De Kledingbibliotheek" and "Urlaub" are also based at Druk in Utrecht. De Kledingbibliotheek (in English: Clothing Library) is a place where you can borrow designer, vintage & fairtrade pieces for a couple of weeks. The girls behind this unique concept: Maud, Karin & Evita, make sure the clothes are properly cleaned! The purpose behind this concept is to support the idea of sharing & recycling what we have instead of focussing on possessions and material things. They also want to support a group of (young) designer by giving them a platform. What a great idea!

Behind De Kledingbibliotheek, in a beautiful glasshouse, you'll find "Urlaub", an initiative founded by talented illustrator Ellen Vesters. The name Urlaub is an ode to the holidays Ellen spent in the creative city Hamburg. At Urlaub you can follow several workshops. For instance how to make silkscreens, how to illustrate, write or photograph. A great place to come together and create new things!

Hotspot Koffie Leute Utrecht

This weekend I visited one of my favorite city's Utrecht for some hotspots! I started at this new & awesome coffee bar called "Koffie Leute". It's housed at "Druk", a place where different creative entrepreneurs have established their unique company. You can follow workshops at Urlaub, borrow an outfit at "De Kledingbibliotheek", buy organic soap at "Werfzeep" and learn all about the perfect cup of coffee (or just enjoy one) at Koffie Leute! What a great place! The interior of this coffee bar is a mixture of vintage finds and fun oddities which create a homely atmosphere. I think I've said enough, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! Definitely a place that I want to visit again!
