The Colorful Home of Joost & Martijn

Let me show you this amazing home of my friends Joost & Martijn! They were kind enough to let me take these pictures of their place. Joost & Martijn live in the centre of Amsterdam and are constantly busy decorating & thinking of smart ways to restyle every room on its own.
I think they make a great pair! After finishing the Design Academy in Eindhoven, Joost started working in fashion. Besides his job, Joost does a lot of textile & print design. Almost every fabric or print in their home, is designed by Joost. I'm totally in love with his prints, look at those sofa's! Martijn on the other hand, is quite the handyman! For instance, he painted a couple of boring kitchen cabinets in a bright yellow, love it! He also made this graphic pattern on the kitchen floor, I'm sure he has a lot of patience...

Well, I could go on for a while about this creative couple, but I think these pictures speak for themselves. Take a look at this colorful, eclectic home with a mixture of vintage, design, bold prints & unique pieces! If you want to know more about the work of Joost, click here to visit his website. There will be a webshop in the near future so I'll keep you posted!

Tas-ka

Today my sweet mother took me to the Tas-ka shop in The Hague to pick out a present, how sweet is that! Tas-ka is one of my favorite brands but I've never visited the shop before so this was a real treat! I think we were there for a whole hour... It's just such a nice brand with a unique style... The founders of this brand Jantien Baas and Hester Worst make their own prints which they use for pillow cases, stationary, tea towels and much more. They have a lovely collection so check it out here if you haven't seen it yet! My present was one of their beautiful folded lamps (picture 3)! I love it!!
